Q&A Session - July 2022
Sunday Jul 10, 2022
Sunday Jul 10, 2022
On today's episode, I answered questions sent in from Instagram about the job. I enjoy being able to give my two cents to some of these, and there are some themes that will be revisited with guests in the future. I'll work these into the rotation every few months so long as you don't mind my phone sex voice.
Maybe I need a co-host for these...
Also, the #goodcopsgiveaway will be back for a second year! If you want to donate, or want to know more, hit me up on Instagram or email me at bluelinemillennial@gmail.com.
Tonight's bourbon of choice was 1792 small batch - a very tasty gift from my wonderful wife!

Friday Jun 03, 2022
Vic Ferrari served with the NYPD from 1987 to 2007. In that time, he worked through the AIDS epidemic, the 93 WTC bombing, and 9/11, and served in patrol, narcotics, and auto theft investigations. In today's episode, Vic recounts his career from walking the beat in the early days, to walking down Broadway surrounded by abandoned women's shoes on 9/11.
Vic has used his career and his skills as an author to write several books about the NYPD which give us a glimpse behind the curtain. Find Vic's books on Amazon, and find Vic on Instagram and Twitter!

Justin - US Army Ranger, Controlled Pairs content creator
Tuesday Apr 26, 2022
Tuesday Apr 26, 2022
On today's episode, I talk with Justin, a commissioned officer in the US Army who previously served with the 75th Ranger Regiment. Justin might be better known by his online gaming moniker Controlled Pairs Gaming. Justin weighed in on leadership lessons and lent his experience both as an Army officer and a gamer to our discussion on the validity of digital simulation toward real world applications. It was truly insightful for me to hear Justin's take on so many topics. Find Justin on social media @controlled.pairs or head over to his website controlledpairs.gg to access all of his content.
Just don't let him approach a bathroom with a suicide bomber in it.

Kayleigh Kozak and Kayleigh’s Law
Monday Apr 11, 2022
Monday Apr 11, 2022
On today's episode, I had the wonderful opportunity to speak with Kayleigh Kozak and her husband, Kelsey. After reporting her abuser at the age of 14, Kayleigh thought that horrific chapter of her life was over and done with until, ten years later, she was notified that her abuser was trying to get his lifetime probation rescinded. After being forced to face the man who had abused her as a child in court, a fire was ignited within her, and she began the process of writing "Kayleigh's Law" into the statutes. Kayleigh's Law protects victims by ensuring they never have to face the person who harmed them ever again.
Kayleigh and I could have spoken for hours. I hope you all take something away from this episode. Kayleigh will be back on The Modern Cop Podcast in the future! Find her on Instagram @thekayleighkozak and check out her website becauseyoustillmatter.org.
If you or someone you know has suffered sexual abuse, please report it to your local law enforcement agency immediately.

PhD from the Streets - Knowledge Bombs with BC Sanders
Thursday Apr 07, 2022
Thursday Apr 07, 2022
On today's episode, I sat down for a great discussion with BC Sanders. Actually, with BC's twenty-year career combatting gang-related issues in the South, I felt more like a student in a very interesting college class. B.C.'s outside-the-box efforts to curb the gang problem in America are enlightening, as is his approach to interacting with the different types of gang members. I'm excited to see what the future brings for B.C. and I encourage you all to keep an eye on what he's got coming down the pipe. Find B.C. on Instagram @b.c.sanders
